I've successfully changed my old 2006 and 1996 dollars bills in AlFardan Exchange recently. The exchange rates are lower, however (still better than in the Airport):
QR3.45 - for 100 dollar bills
QR3.40 - for 20 and 1 dollar bills
People with sufficient money should think about spending some for themselves ...........plus .. once in a while call your good friends, buy them chai / samosa / gulab jamuns etc ........................
Farah, Better you please take Yasir's notes also as you will be visiting the bank soon. We need to resolve this issue for all the QLers .............. ..........
i have series 2001 :( mine also they rejected and one of them told me to go to bank but i never get a chance to go....
