Sponsor maid without agency
Hello QL members,
I need some information regarding sponsoring a maid without any agency. One of our office staff from Phillipines mentioned that her sister is interested in coming to Qatar as house maid. I want to know if it is possible to sponsor her without going through a maid agency here. I asked a few agencies and all of them want to charge around QR 12000 - 15000 for a Phillipino maid, this is same as if I were to go to them directly and select a maid provided by them.
Can someone please advice if its possible to sponsor directly in order to save some money and what would be the procedure ?

Thanks Roshan, I will definitely do that. But I was also hoping that if anyone has done it, then they can share and provide more realistic information, hence asked here.
If you have the MOI approval for a Phil national house maid, then, the best thing is to go to Phil embassy and inquire the procedure to bring the housemaid to Doha. I think, there are some forms that you have to fill and approach the Qatar Labor department to obtain the labor contract. Once all done, you can apply for the visa. You will get more information in this regard from the Phil embassy for sure. All the best!
