Employers have been urged not to terminate employees while on leave
Recently, there have been several attempts by Qatar to make its laws more labour-friendly.
A labour law came into effect recently and it has made things a little easier for workers.
In its latest bid to protect workers’ rights, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has asked employers not to terminate employees while they are on leave, reported The Peninsula.
MADLSA, in two posts made on Facebook, reminds both employers and employees about two important clauses of Labour Laws dealing with ‘leave.’
Article 85 of the Labour Law reminds employers not to terminate employees while they are on leave.
Meanwhile, it also highlighted Article 84 of the Labour Law, which bars employees from doing any other job for any other employer while on leave.

Dear all,

Agree with Brit, this shall also be part of the law. Any actions related to termination should be explained by the employer to the employee, in the presence of the employee. That promotes healthy professional conduct.
The keyword here being "urged" - perhaps it should be "ordered"
That's very kind of you .......... we welcome it ...............
