CID section seizes several counterfeit jewellery seals from Doha
Officials from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) swooped in and confiscated counterfeit seals of renowned international gold and jewelry brands from a workshop in Doha recently.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the seizure was made in a raid conducted in coordination with the Licensing Department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, reported Gulf Times.
The CID also arrested nine men from the workshop where the seizure was made. The CID raided the workshop on a tip-off and found it was also operating without a license.
Several ornaments marked with the fake seal were also seized. The arrested men were remanded and will be referred for further action.
Those who buy expensive jewelry, please do so from the licensed shops.
