The Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has decided to bring back the weekend Shop Qatar outdoor festivities on February 2 to February 4 at the Sheraton Doha Park. The festivities will feature the food trucks that became very popular with the public and the mesmerizing fireworks display that were part of the outdoor festivities on January 12 to January 14.

Shop Qatar’s live entertainment is also making waves and the line-up includes the “Khaleeji Night” musical concert featuring the well-known Emirati megastar, Hussain al Jassmi on January 27. Other mega-attractions are the Doha Comedy festival to be held from February 2 to February 4 with tickets almost sold out, and the “Cats” musical, a highly-acclaimed Broadway musical that is coming to Doha for the very first time from February 1 to February 4. An outdoor fashion show, open to the public, is also all set to take place at the Lagoona Mall on February 2 which will show case a wide range of designs and clothing styles from 10 Qatari designers and five international designers from Pakistan, India, Hong Kong and Kuwait.

On the whole, Qatar’s first ever shopping festival, Shop Qatar has been a huge success. QTA is happy with the positive response from the public as well as the shopping malls that are offering consumers special promotions on their products and services along with live entertainment, and Qatar Airways which is offering travelers discounted travel packages.
