La Bruschetta Al-Sadd: The true taste of Italy

If you’re looking for some good old fashioned Italian fare, La Bruschetta Al-Sadd is for you. From the moment you walk in to the restaurant in Downtown Doha Hotel, till the time you walk out with a fully satiated appetite, you will be greeted by courteous and attentive staff, an amazing ambience, a cozy atmosphere and the best Italian food in the city.

The menu was nice with just the right blend of appetizers, salads, pasta, risotto, entrées and dessert, and the prices were decent, too. The ambience was homely and comfortable. The balcony sitting area is a favorite with couples complete with candle lights and small cozy tables perfect for two. Next to the main dining area is the restaurant’s unique Venice themed area complete with props and masks where you can pretend you are in Italy and have your photographs taken.

The Caprese salad was an absolute delight. Everything was fresh from the buffalo mozzarella and sliced tomatoes to the perfect pesto and the balsamic vinegar which added just the right amount of kick to the salad.

The entrées were well presented and did not disappoint; the Seafood pasta was aromatic and tasted as good as it looked. The sauce was perfection and the jumbo prawns cooked just right.

The Risotto Gambieri was light and delicate with a creamy texture, with prawns, asparagus and cherry tomatoes.

The Grilled Salmon had the most beautiful texture and melted in the mouth. Served with a creamy lemon butter sauce with delightful and perfect tartness, nutmeg flavored potato puree and herb seasoned vegetables, the dish was an absolute hit with a great combination of flavors.

The Roasted Whole Seabass, served with olives and caper sauce came and the perfect accompaniment: roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables, did not disappoint.

And, last but not the least, the Margherita pizza. Baked in a brick fired oven by a pizza maker with years of experience in Italy, the pizza had the perfect crust and the cheese just melted in the mouth. An absolute treat and possible the best pizza in Doha. The best thing is that La Bruschetta is offering a buy one get one free pizza deal for a limited time only, so if you’re craving a real Italian pizza, you know where to go.

The watermelon and the lemon mint drinks were refreshing and combined well with the main entrées.

Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon spent in the presence of great food and service. Definitely worth a visit with friends or family, and the prices are so reasonable you won’t be breaking the bank.
