Women’s Hospital building set to become a part of HGH

The Women's Hospital building will soon become a part of the Hamad General Hospital (HGH).

The Women's Hospital which used to function out of the building has been moved to the Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) in Hamad Medical City (HMC), reported Qatar Tribune.

“HMC is seeing massive expansion with the opening of three new hospitals, including Qatar Rehabilitation Center, WWRC and daycare center which will provide one-day surgery and outpatient services,” said Dr Yousuf Al Maslamani, Medical Director of Hamad Medical Corporation and Director of Qatar Center for Organ Transplantation.

Meanwhile, construction work is ongoing on a new and bigger emergency centre that will include a men’s and women’s section, as well as sections for accidents, intensive care, X-ray and laboratories.
