The Pearl Qatar’s Medina Centrale to become car-free on weekends
If you have visited the Pearl Qatar before, then chances are you have taken a walk past the beautiful Medina Centrale area.
However, you may have also felt a bit threatened with the sheer number of powerful cars zooming through the place.
From December 1, on weekends, you can safely put on your walking shoes as the entire district has been made pedestrian-friendly during those days.
The restrictions on cars will be in effect from every Thursday evening until midnights on Saturdays, for the entire winter period. Having no cars means you can enjoy the area’s many sights at a leisurely pace, without having to worry about speeding cars or crazy drivers.
Residents and visitors will be encouraged to make use of the six parking blocks (3,000 spaces) allocated around the area in the weekend. Golf carts will be deployed to transfer people to and from the parking lots and help ease pedestrian movement. Valet parking services will also be available.
Will go there and enjoy the walk on Friday
