Georgetown University welcomes you to Qatar National Day celebrations tomorrow
Georgetown University students will celebrate Qatar’s National Day a little bit in advance, at the Oxygen Park on campus, tomorrow. The event, which includes several traditional activities, will run from 4pm to 8pm and is open to the public.
The programmes will revolve around the theme “We are tamers of difficulties,” which is a line of poetry taken from the Founder's collection of poetry/sayings.
The event, organised by the Al Liwan Qatari Student Association, will feature a wide range of activities including horse riding, Arabian horse show, a mini-exhibition by the Shaikh Faisal bin Qassim Museum, traditional food, Arabic calligraphy art show, musical performances from Qatar Music Academy, poetry, cultural dance, falconry, henna, traditional handcrafts and a cultural photobooth.
While horse riding will be available between 4pm and 6pm, stage performances will begin at sharp 6pm.
Entry to the show is free of charge and members of the public are welcome to be a part of it. Enjoy the outing with your family. It will be fun.
