Attention Foodies: amazing deals on Italian cuisine this week
Great news to all you Italian food lovers! Qatar is participating in Italian cuisine week, which kicked off on the 21st November and runs until the 27th.
This internationally celebrated event occurs annually to celebrate Italian food abroad. Five Italian restaurants across Doha will offer unique menus specifically designed for the week to showcase the best of Italian cuisine.
ll Mercato Antico is located in al wakrah, La Veranda at the Sheraton, Nonna Zanon in West bay, Antica Pesa at the pearl and Italia Mia at Souq waqif, The Westin Hotel are also participating and hosted the opening night of the festival last night.
To kick off the Italian cuisine week, I decided to dine at Nonna Zanon. They are offering a set menu which includes a selection of starters, mains and desserts for the price of 100QR.
Their options are perfect for meat lovers and vegetarians. Some of their classics such as the tiramisu has been recreated with so much more flavor. You are served large satisfying portions so be sure to visit if you are hungry otherwise you will have a lot of leftovers.
All in all it was a great experience and the ambiance was pleasant. Remember that most of these restaurants have native Italian chefs creating these dishes so this is your opportunity to get a taste of Italy right here in Doha.
