An ungrateful man was filmed beating up an older couple on the streets of China after they bought him an apartment that was deemed "too small".

The incident took place outside of a real estate office in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang, China’s north east.

It is believed the couple were the man's parents and had given their son the unit as a wedding present and was deemed "too small".

In the video, the man hit his parents over the head multiple times and even appeared to even grab his mother by the throat.

The pair did not fight back and instead covered their heads with their hands in an attempt to defend themselves.

Is this what society is coming to ? Are we all becoming too selfish ?

omar: I would tend to agree with you to a point. I'm sure he's been spoiled. However, all parents want to do the best for their offspring.

I think this shows the way society is goinf. Children expect to be given things, rather than earning them or working for them.

Serves them right really. Probably spoiled the kids through out his life. Who buys someone a flat as a present?. Their fault
