Paediatric Emergency Centre expansion cuts wait time by 20 to 30%
If you have young kids, then you may have visited the Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Paediatric Emergency Centre (PEC) in Al Sadd at least once.
If you looked forward to those visits with dread in your heart, then you certainly are not alone. The reason was simple — the long waiting times irrespective of what part of the day you visited the place.
But now, thanks to some recent expansions, the PEC is 25% larger, has 22 extra beds, six new triage rooms and more staff than ever. It has effectively cut down the wait times by 20 to 30%, reported Gulf Times.
Patient feedback has been positive and more patients than ever before are visiting the facilities now.
Have you been to the PEC recently? What were your experiences? What are your recommendations to further improve it in the coming days? Let us know in the comments section below.
well, parking is terrible. i went there yesterday with my daughter and circled the area many times along with 4 other cars.. i decided not to waste time and just go to the private clinic. i wish they could improve the parking spaces/area as well.
I wish it is a No Fly Zone ............... because even a single fly can spread the disease .................
Cheers for the kids & their moms .............
This is such good news .. A friend's wife went with her child ., I will ask for her review and revert soon
