1.         Currently Working in Trans Gulf International Electro Mechanical W.L.L, Doha, Qatar from 3 / 2015 to date as Mechanical Engineer and having 1.6 years of Experience in MEP (HVAC) field.                                                                           At  Present Working in Trans Gulf International Electro Mechanical W.L.L for Msheireb Down Town Doha Phase 2 Project, Doha-Qatar.

Project  Description as follows

• Main Contractor:Arabtec Construction Company
• Consultant: Gensler / CEG
• MEP Contractor: Trans Gulf International Electro Mechanical W.L.L.

• It’s a Leed Project having various LEED certifications for Each Building
• Project Value of 500 Million QAR
• Total Cooling Load capacity of 8500 TONS.
• Preparing for LEED Green Associate

 

 As a Mechanical Engineer,  My Roles and Responsibilities

 

• To prepare schedule and to execute the work as per plan.
• To go through the project specifications, based on project specification preparing schedule for Equipment Selection, Ducting, Chilled Water Piping.
• To select the Equipments based on Schedule.
• To Prepare Submittal, Reviewing of Submittal based on Specification and Standards and submitting it for Approval.
• To prepare Method Statements Related to HVAC, Reviewing it and submitting it for Approval.
• To Raise RFI’s related to technical issue or execution issue.
• Coordinating with consultant during the time of approvals.
• Guiding Draughtsman to Prepare Shop Drawing, Reviewing the Prepared Drawings and Submitting the Drawings for Approval.
• To do Duct Sizing and Chilled Water Pipe Sizing. 
• To prepare site requisition and to send the requisition to purchase department.
• Chilled water pipe Flushing and preparation for final process.
• Arranging the materials for execution based on Area clearance and shop drawings.
• To take up quantities of  Pipes, Pipe fittings, valves, Dampers, Access Door and Grills.
• Co-ordination with the Site Supervision consultant at the time of Inspection.
• To check approved Shop Drawings and Co-ordination Drawings before Handing over for Execution.
• To execute Duct works, Pipe Works in High Level as well as in Risers and to take part in FCU’s and AHU’s Installation.
• First task was to take part in Mock up Installation, to Execute Mock up work and successfully completed with Client Approval.
• Co-ordination with Execution of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & Electrical Installation activities.
• Playing a major role as a member in LEED Execution Team for the company in this project.

Roles and Responsibility

 

• Reviewed consultant prepared HVAC design for constructability, coordinated with other MEP & civil/architectural drawings for ease of implementation in terms of cost & time, identifying critical risks/issues in drawings/designs after understanding the requirements of the project
• Helped design team for data sheet and engineering design approval of various packages.
• Oversaw the overall HVAC activities, monitored & guided the sub-ordinates in technical/operation areas & ensured through on-site supervision that the undertaken jobs were done as per the approved Technical specification, design intent, drawings, requisite quality &HSE standards
• And co-ordination with other departments (Design, commercial, planning, civil, architectural, quality &HSE) apart from providing timely information to the Project Manager/quantity surveyor on deviations/ extra jobs in order to take necessary action to do accurate billing. 
• Monitored the job progress & managed various vendors by providing them with adequate work fronts and regularly informed project manager/ client with issues related to vendors.
• Regularly attended project progress review meetings & job closing meetings with the client/PMC/consultant on behalf of my organization to understand client/PMC/consultant requirements apart from addressing their queries.

• Higher Secondary:                                                                                                                                                                                              St. Peter’s Higher Secondary school, Trichy (Dt).  Passed with the percentage of  75.9%  in 2009.
