Try covering the tank with Thermocol. It is cheap and also heat-resistant. You could also try surrounding the tank with fire-proof gypsum board to prevent it from direct sunlight.

Hi Mido,

In fact there is a way of reducing the heat in the water tanks fixed on top of the roof.

There is a kind of material which you can find in hardware shops. (Najma), Just explain the shop keeper that you need the material or sheet for this purpose.

They will guide you. May be it's kind of Aluminum Foil which you cover the entire water tank in the roof.

Believe me, it works for a certain extent. (Sorry for the improper information)

I might have to get Chin Tu Fat's friend Luv Lee Lai to come and check all my parts :O(

and what if you have to report to duty at 06:30 AM will you still spend more time in bathroom indulging with quality time activities ?

After the bath you will get a natural glow at the skin due to warmth of the water plus the over due massage of our body parts we ignore in the routine ....... with this each of our body part will give a feel like hey smile as well .... ........ in rush many people do not know which part is there which is not & what is their condition ......

Equinox: I'm confused. Whether you wash a small part or large part of the body - surely hot water is still hot water ?

Rizks,

For many, bathroom is one of the best places for relaxing, so spending more time there may be a quality time.

After all, we all like to indulge in quality time activities.

However, MM has put up a tested method, so somebody needs to try it out, in order to see and confirm the result.

if you follow MM's method of taking shower, you will end up your day inside the bathroom before the day starts ! :(

Hope, Mido, the blogger, would be enjoying this debate for his next encounter with the Water.

but, brit, in the process to fulfill your dream, you may get the advice of a wrong lady, and perhaps a wrong way of washing.

Perhaps a female QLer could help me use the bucket properly .. I don't want to do it wrongly and waste precious water

Most of the times, the cool friend is not around, so you have a limited choice.

Overhead water tank does what?, stores the water, and the same does the bucket. The difference is that the tank would give you "hot water" in summer and the bucket would give you the cooler water, choice is yours and if you chose to use the bucket water, you would definitely get to learn on "How to use it".

You came over come the situation to some extent ....... by changing the bath style .... do it in steps ....... first wash your hands ....... then face then middle part ...... then legs & feet ............. do all the steps serial wise ..... one area at a time ...... as you will be wetting a small area you will not feel much heat ......... this is a tried & trusted formula ......... you may try this tip from tomorrow & come back with the feed back ......... wish you joys .................

You can share a shower with a friend ... But not a bucket :O(

Washing by using the bucket water is a centuries old method, though it sounds primitive now but is better than showering with the boiling hot water.

How do you shower with a bucket :O(

By putting up a wooden shade over the water tank, you can reduce the water temp. considerably.

Another solution is to fill up some buckets for usage,at early morning when the water temp. is moderate.

Just collect the water in a bucket at night and morning take shower with it, it will be cool ...:)
