India Is Amazing

Five embarrassing moments for India in Rio:

1. Indian boxers were threatened with disqualification after they turned up in shirts which didn't have India's logo - a key requirement at the Games.

2. Sports Minister Vijay Goel was reportedly warned after some of his staff behaved rudely and tried to enter the venues without proper accreditation.

3. The minister received further criticism when he wished luck to Indian sprinter Srabani Nanda, but ended up posting the picture of another athlete, Dutee Chand, with his tweet.

4. The appointment of a radiologist as the chief medical officer of the Indian team in Rio also received criticism. Authorities, however, said that the radiologist, the son of a senior sports official, "knew sports medicine well".

5. Some hockey players complained that they were invited to an official function to celebrate India's Independence Day, but "were only given peanuts to eat instead of proper dinner".

And worse than that: An Olympic woman marathon runner from India has alleged she was not provided water and energy drinks by Indian officials at designated stations.

OP Jaisha said she "could have died" after the women's marathon in Rio.

Jaisha, 33, finished in 89th place and collapsed after finishing the 42km (26 miles) race in two hours 47 minutes 19 seconds last week. [BBC]

No wonder that Indians don't complain about their treatment in Qatar if their own country treats them like this!

Pakistan may not be the second-largest country in the world, but it is the sixth-largest, with nearly 190 million people. And it is the biggest nation to be leaving Brazil without a medal. It gets worse. Pakistan dispatched its smallest-ever delegation to this year’s games, composed of seven athletes. Most of those athletes participated through “wild-card” slots granted by the International Olympic Committee, not because they directly qualified for their events, according to Agence France-Presse. Pakistan sent as many athletes to Rio as Nepal, despite having nearly seven times Nepal’s population. It sent twice as many officials as athletes. Its once-celebrated men’s field hockey team failed to qualify for the first time since Pakistan began competing in the Olympics in 1948. Pakistan has not won an Olympic medal in 24 years.

No wonder Indian boxers didn't do well. They are still having their jerseys and floves tailored - wonder if they're using Kashmir Tailors ?

If you look from this angle ......

1, Tailor's fault ..........

2, Language / accent gap ..........

3, Computer up loading fault ...........

4, Relations issue .............

5, Mistakes in the invitation printing / typing .......

6, Miss-understanding each other .....

.

If you look at each & every point .......None of the point is concerning the games ..........

"5. Some hockey players complained that they were invited to an official function to celebrate India's Independence Day, but "were only given peanuts to eat instead of proper dinner"....yup if a full fledge buffet was served they would not perform well in the game. So keeping in mind about the health conscious they were served peanuts with Karak chai and poppadums....:)

Surely, you people are unaware of the "BEST."

The Indian culture ministry made an embarrassing mistake when it used a photo of a Pakistani jet fighter JF-Thunder in one of its videos for Independence Day!!!

The incident was reported by the Indian newspaper "The Hindu" which carried a picture showing the Pakistani jet fighter flying the Indian flag.

Modi has to save money in order to put up "Toilets" on a lighter note.

Despite his tall talking about the Greater India, he got to understand that "Action speaks louder than the words".
