Return Visa Extension

Hi All

Can you advise on options, my husband will be returning on a return visa which is noted to expire on the 11.9.2016

he arrives on the morning of the 11.9.2016 and departs the 17.9.2016

a. Must I apply for a new family visit visa? or

b. Can I extend this return visa for another 15 days.

Your help will be appreciated.
