Indefinite Contract?
Hello everyone:
I have a job offer in Qatar and I am trying to get as much info as possible before I decide. The contract states as follows: Duration of conract: Indefinite. I have heard of 2 year contracts as the norm so I found this strange. Some people tell me this is good because either party can end employement at any time, but I think this can also be bad. Any advice or knowledge about this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Sir,
As per Qatar’s Kafala law (Law No. 21 of 2015 regulating the entry, exit and residency of expatriates) will take effect on Dec. 14, 2016, Indefinite contract will be maximum duration of five years.
If you sign on Indefinite contract then you will be eligible to join another company only after completing five years of service in the current company and legally the company has to pay you the same salary & other benefits which is mentioned on contract till next five years.
