We have entered June and in another five days we will enter the holy month of Ramadan. The week before Ramadan is punctuated with a flurry of activities all geared up towards preparing for the month of fasting. Iftars and Suhoors are an important part of Muslims opening and breaking their fasts. In respect of this month’s spirit, restaurants are not active between fasting hours. But they are busy preparing Iftars with generous menus.

Paul Bakery and Café

Famous for its French cuisines and delectables, Paul Bakery and Cafe is offering a variety of soups and salads for starters; including tomato and vegetable soup, Salade de roquette aux lentilles vertes (rocket and cherry tomato salad) and Salade d’epinard et quinoa (quinoa, cucumber and beetroot salad)

Köşebaşı

Turkish restaurant Köşebaşı is famous for its traditional taste. During the fasting month it offers a set Ramadan special featuring Ezo Gelin (traditional Turkish red lentil and bulgur soup) for starters, followed by a selection of hot and cold appetizers including favourites such as Hummus Dolma (vine leaves) Dolma (vine leaves). The Ramadan special has a selection of salads and grill options including bestsellers like tender chicken cubes,marinated beef slices and special lamb kebab.

 You can avail this offer at QR109per adult and QR55 per child.

Butcher Shop and Grill

The South African steakhouse, The Butcher Shop and Grill offers generous vouchers as Ramadan specials in which guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary main dish when a dish of equal or greater value is purchased. Indulge in top favorites including the Bone-in-Ribeye, Veal and Lobster Thermidor and the Beef Espetada, alongside complementary soups and dates for the festive season.

Biella

Italian restaurant Biella will have a delicious set 3 course meal with a choice of appetizer, soup and main dish. Options include Calamari Fritti, and choice of pasta or pizza from a selection.

You can avail of this offer at QR99 per person, from Iftar until 8.00pm, and it includes 1 soft drink, and Turkish tea or coffee.

Orient Pearl Restaurant

The Orient Pearl, located in a pleasant corner of the Corniche will offer a set Iftar menu including one main dish, one drink and an assortment of appetizers and desserts.

This offer is available from 5:30 pm, Sunday to Thursday priced at QR185 for adults. Priced at QR225 per adult on Friday and Saturday. *Children aged 5-12 years old receive a 50% discount.

 

Orient Pearl

Zaoq Restaurant

Famous Pakistani cuisine restaurant, Zaoq, offers Iftar buffet including barbecue, curries and rice dishes. Suhoor Buffet offers the regular a la carte entrees as well as the traditional breakfast buffet of Nihari, Paya, Channay, Keema and unique Omlettes.

Al Jazeera Cafe

Al Jazeera Cafe at Katara has a Ramadan set special menu for Iftar including cuisines of Turkey, the Balkans and the Arab world.

Iftar set menu is QR155 per adult and QR75 per child from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
