Expect strong winds and low visibility in Qatar today
Strong winds are expected across the country on Sunday along with low visibility due to dusty conditions, the Qatar Met department has said.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds and high seas, according to the weather office.
Visibility may drop to 2km or less in some places during the day.
The forecast for inshore areas says it will be hot during the day and blowing dust is also expected at times.
The wind speed may go up to 30 knots at times in these areas, decreasing to less than 10 knots by the evening.
Offshore areas, meanwhile, will see slightly dusty conditions. The wind speed there may reach 25 knots before falling by night, with the sea level rising to 7ft.
A maximum temperature of 39C is expected in Doha, Messaied and Wakrah, followed by 38C in Al Khor, 36C in Abu Samra, 35C in Dukhan and 34C in Ruwais.
