Traffic diversion in Al-Thumama to last eight weekends

A temporary traffic diversion will be instilled by Ashghal at Al-Thumama Junction in order to complete it, which is part of the E-Ring and Najma roads development project, and lay the final asphalt layer.

The traffic diversion will be implemented in eight phases to minimize the impact on traffic in the area.

According to The Peninsula, the first phase starts on Thursday 31 March 2016 after midnight and will last until Saturday 2 April 2016 at 5 am.

The remaining seven phases will be carried out during the following seven weekends, each lasting from Thursday midnight to Saturday morning 5 am.

It is anticipated that the last phase will be completed by 21 May 2016.

During each phase, only a part of the junction will be closed and signage will be installed to indicate the closed and the open parts of the road.

The exception will be the last phase, which will require the full closure of the junction for two days.

Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.

costing cutting, may affect cost of lives too - hint on the poor infrastructure builds. Don't blame, like MM says, one day you will see, it may cost people's lives... then what may you say?!

Can you see the balance in this? I see negative balance!

Quality standards are more important if you want to keep up a positive reputation. If you don't care for your reputation you may go ahead and 'control' the cost. In the end, you will pay more.

WT exactly, they have huge slogans everywhere saying "Qatar Deserves the best" but the best they use, is the cheapest and poor quality workmanship!

Ha, ha, ha. Qatar deserves the cheapest. - That's the new Ashghal slogan.

Yes MM, that is why, there is constant pot holes and uneven roads everywhere. This is the richest country in the world as per GDP! Again greed and cheats, effect of skimming off from contracting and subcontracting to the cheapest bidders... yes the cheapest is the best for Qatar!
