Al-Fazaa vehicles to be equipped with video cameras very soon
Qatar’s Al Fazaa patrol vehicles are soon to be mounted with video cameras that could help officials in the central operation room of the Ministry of Interior to be able to watch accidents, including fire and road mishaps.
“Currently, Al Fazaa personnel manning the patrol vehicle need to inform about the accidents to the operation room and provide details”, says The Peninsula.
However, as the cameras would directly transmit the images to the operation room, Al Fazaa personnels do not have to inform the operation room the details about any road or fire accident.
The cameras are to be mounted on top of the Al Fazaa patrol vehicles.
The point is that they are supposed to monitor accidents and fires, NOT offenders!!
Great news, lets move things forward!
I hope they equip the same system for the traffic police also, where they can capture pictures of those offending pedestrians who don't use the designated routes for pedestrian crossings, and become a hazard / grieve hamper for motorists...move towards a safer society.
