The guy behind!!

Driving in doha for the last few years I would like to share a bitter experience and appreciate Qatar Police.

This happened last year.

Time- around 6:30pm.

I drive a small saloon car. So i was just reversing my car where i didn't even put my leg on the accelerator i heard my bro saying " A guy behind" . Immediately i pushed the brake. The guy behind came to me and i apologized for what happened and i made sure he is perfectly alright. He was barely hit.

But the guy in serious tone " U hit me and saying sorry"??(dramatically rubbing his hand)

Now i feel something is not right. I got off the vehicle and offered him help. ( I can drop you home or Buy medicine or even take you to hospital) but no reply. i stood there for at least 20mins to know what he really needs. Atlast i suggested him myself to call the police. Surprisingly he did.. Police came with the siren ON in few minutes and started the enquiry. From the explanation police understood the scenario and solved the problem between us just by talking. Between i gave the guy 100qr which he refused. and he told to police " Guys looks good so i don't want to bring them trouble"

Alhamdulillah i was happy i thanked him as well as the police and i walked to my car.. Suddenly the guy called me from behind and told about someone he knew received 25000 for minor accident. and he was expecting something bring from me & and he will call me next day incase he is not feeling well..hearing this i stopped the police who were about to leave and explained them his ideas. So i insisted them to call the ambulance and take this person for a medical checkup.

In short ambulance came took the guy and left the scene. Really it was the police who helped me out of this understanding the reality.

Zackm very true, soon there will be companies like 'Claims Direct' being set up like in the UK and we'll be plagued with text messages about accidents that have never happened.

Ambulance chasers we call them in the UK.

The police in Qatar are doing a good job. They are having a hard time with all the idiots around, though.
