Family Allowance Requirements

Good day Guys!

So here is my case,

Iam Working for an Engineering Company here in doha and my wife works in a Government Clinic. She has a single accommodation from the company which she is not using because we are renting a room, also another room for her mom.

And now we are applying for Family Housing Allowance from her company. Requirements are:

1. She will surrender her single housing provided by her company (check)

2. Present RP of her Husband(me) Working here in Qatar (check)

3. Present attested Documents for marriage (check)

4. Ask for a Letter from husband's company stating that husband is not receiving family allowance----- not check

So that is my question,my company doesn't want to provide the letter,when I got hired ,the job package included Housing allowance(SINGLE STATUS). but when I got interviewed by our company HR manager, I clearly indicated that before I sign the offer letter, I need to request a letter from the company stating that Iam not receiving any housing allowance from the company, In order for us to get the Family allowance from my wife's government company. Which by the way equal to the amount of my Salary. The HR manager even noted it on my CV at that time. But when I signed they still had the Housing allowance indicated on the contract. And now he is saying that it is under the law that when they hire , housing needs to be included in the salary. and they are refusing to provide a letter stating im not receiving any housing allowance.

But right now im trying to get a letter stating that Iam receiving a "Single's/Bachelors Allowance" and HR is yet to reply.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.
