Residence Permit Processing
Ive been working for almost 3 months for my company (Engineering firm). I have finished my Medical commission check on 1st week of December 2015, and Fingerprinting on January 11th 2016, up til now my RP has not been released yet. My wife works for Government clinic, when her company processed her RP, it was in a few weeks, even her cousin who also works in the same company, newly hired, got her RP in a matter of weeks. Does it differ the processing time of RP from companies? As per my officemates, they had their RP 2 months after they got had their Fingerprint. I need the RP as a requirement for my wife's benefits (leave encashment, Housing allowance .etc) each month passing is money wasted. Can I process my RP myself as a representative of the company? Also my Passport is being held by my company until the RP is released, is that ok? Please Advise, Thank you...

some times, it takes 4 weeks.

you wouldnt worry to much as some companys pros are less effective and useless so it takes long time to process. Ours took two and half months to come but you must keep chasing up with your PRO and give them some headache.

maybe your company PRO is lazy
It is legal to keep the passport for the procedure of the RP. Otherwise it is ILLEGAL!
it should be done soon..not take this much time...one of the reasons i can only see for delay here probably the company is not doing good and having job cuts...all of a sudden you wil get surprise..thanks we do not need you
