Some beautiful parks in Qatar that you should visit

Out of the numerous places in the country that one could visit, parks would arguably be the most popular one.

Everybody loves to enjoy the hard to find greenery and the grass while seated under the shade of a tree and gazing at a passerby. Parks also have been a favourite spot among most kids who love to run about, enjoying the space that they mostly don’t get at homes.

Then of course, the exercise fanatics too would frequent the parks often for a brisk walk or run.

Now, with the climate being gentler these days, here’s a list of some of the must-visit parks in Qatar.

With the usual greenery and trees, this beautiful park also has limestone caverns featuring a fresh water lake and tunnels. With shaded play areas for kids and numerous flowering plants, this park is definitely worth a visit.

#- Aspire Park

Located close to Villagio, the Aspire Park is huge and has a something for everyone. You’d see the park crowded with joggers, children at a football game, families sitting for a picnic and toddlers at the play area.

With a running and walking trail, a man-made lake with paddling boats and a huge sprawl of rolling green hills you should not miss going to this park.

#- MIA Park

Famous for its monthly MIA Park bazaars and the Jazz concerts, this park has both a world class museum and the sea in its vicinity.

#- Al-Khor Park

Located outside Doha, this park provides easy access to the beach and has its own version of a Corniche too. Less crowded than the parks within Doha, it’ll be the perfect place for a casual day trip.

#- Al-Bidaa Park

This park is more of a cultural hub. Along with fairy-tale bridges, play area for kids and the lush greenery, the park is also home to the Cultural Village, which is a group of structures that look like a traditional Qatari village. Also, you’d find shops selling traditional goods too.

#-Al-Muntazah Park

A park that is strictly for ladies and kids, it consists of the usual attractions. Also, it’s a place that’s a favourte among many Qatari women and children.

The above are just a few of the many beautiful parks you could find in the country. Make sure to visit a park this weekend with your family and you’d for sure, enjoy it. Remember to go a tad early to get hold of the best picnic spot!

Which is your favourite park? Do you know of any other parks to add to our list? If so, comment below.

Copy and paste and no research on current data. It's not strange, it's normal here.

you missed Al Wakra Park? that park is also good. Not much in entertaining, but at least good for an evening stroll or time out. Bidaa Park is closed, but it still appears on this list...strange...

Al Muntazah park closed to the public in 2003 or 2004.

Al Bidaa park is also now closed since this year.
