Fixed Term Employment Contract termination

Hi, Just want to ask if it possible to end your contract earlier than the agreed term of Contract such as one year? are there any sanctions or fees to be paid for doing this? Thanks!

No. I am referring to the local laws. I got to know of this through booklets available at Human Rights Committee.

read the terms and conditions in your contract that you signed. It should all be there. If not, read company policy on resignation
@britexpat will the same apply to me if I will be having one year contract?
If you have a "Fixed Term Contract" you will need to complete the contract period. Otherwise, the company has the right to claim money from you for the uncompleted months of the contract. It also applies the other way round. Make sure the type of contract you have in hand before you take a decision to resign.
You can resign and go back. You will have to pay for your own ticket You will probably not be able to come back for two years
