Key Responsibilities

 

Undertake Quality Management functions in order to plan, control and report on the execution of company’s responsibilities on the Ras Abus Fontas Project.

• Overall responsibility for the management of quality, with the assistance of the quality team.
• Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality systems used in the execution of the project.
• Identification and implementation of improvements to quality systems, procedures and processes.
• Management of non-conforming supplies and implementation of appropriate corrective action.
• Internal audit of design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities and supplier audits of subcontractors as considered necessary.
• Collation, control and maintenance of quality records.
• Coordinate regular internal quality management meetings to ensure a common understanding of quality issues, priorities and the required corrective action.
• Attend regular external quality management meetings to ensure a common understanding of the project issues, priorities and schedule requirements between multiple stakeholders.
• Provision of weekly and monthly project reporting at various levels.
• Ensuring design approval, design change and the required certification processes are properly implemented.
• Monitor feedback from various stakeholders and ensure these are addressed to satisfy contractual obligations and maintain relationships.
• Liaison with stakeholders to manage client expectations.
• Monitor, develop and implement strategies to enhance relationships with stakeholders.
• Provide input into the overall project delivery strategy, including scheduling, packaging of work and processes.
• Other duties from time to time as directed.

 

OHS & Environment

• Promoting a culture of ‘no injury or harm to people’ and leading by example.  Provide training, advice and assistance on WHS issues to employees.
• Ensuring that the highest possible standards of accident prevention measures are maintained at all times by ensuring work health & safety procedures are implemented.
• Ensuring that all persons under their control fully understand their obligations under WHS Legislation and are held accountable for the conditions of their workplaces.
• Consulting and communicating with all personnel on WHS matters, procedures, instructions, etc.
• Providing competent supervision, safe work procedures and safe plant, equipment and materials for their employees.

• Contribution to the improvement of project quality management methods, processes and standards that meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
• Contribution towards the delivery of the project on time and within budget (with due consideration to the influence of external factors).
• Maintenance of the quality office and quality team to achieve key responsibilities.
• Provision of a safe and injury free working environment for all team members.
• Compliance with the Safety and Environmental Responsibilities outlined in the company's Integrated Management System.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements Qualifications and experience: 10+ years applicable Quality Management experience (ISO 9001) in manufacturing, construction or infrastructure. A demonstrated understanding of the complex technical issues relating to design, procurement, installation and commissioning in a related industry. NOC Available Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt and respond quickly to rapidly changing demands within the organization. Demonstrated capacity to work both autonomously and within the team environment; use initiative; solve problems through analytical thinking; & make decisions within an intense construction environment. Demonstrated capacity to develop and manage relationships to ensure outcomes are achieved as harmoniously as possible. Experience in Water Treatment highly desirable Expertise in MS Office and other job related software Able to prioritize and work autonomously on tasks Drivers license - Qatar
