I am grateful to all of you, for your worthy suggestions & comments. I will try to put my ears to your very informative and wise suggestions. I am planning to move for savings before my kid or kids gets older. So I will try to limit my expenses and off-course I will bring my Australian experience to help the community in the most effective ways.

its a dream pay for any asians...but for you its completely depends on your life style...i m sure you will subscribing for health spa or gym...doing haircuts in 5+ start hotels etc., thus...like others say u cannot save 30+ but I can assure you that you can save close to 20k per month...i know people who gets almost same amount of money...but still cribs about saving...becz his spending style is different...he does shopping in Spinneys only and most of the time outside food in star hotels...subscription of Spa's...tantric body massages...etc., anyways, wish you luck and its definitely good salary!

I think the biggest problem will be your wife. If she has nothing to do she will need a lot of money!

Free home! Free ticket! Free school! Plus a 45k salary! What else could you want? I believe you can easily save 35K but this depends on your style of living.

That is a very decent salary and you will be able to save easily more than 15k+ every month. If you are not a big spender and if you are interested in saving as much as you can before going back home in 3 or 4 years then I recommend you start a savings account and put on the side 20k every month. Based on your consumption patterns you can later raise or lower the amount deducted for savings.

You just got heaven on earth with this salary ! Cheers !!! ;)

Usually the house rent will take a big chunk of your salary, but u r getting free home

I dont see you spending more than 10K - 15K per month

Even if you spend lavishly, there will be some amount of the salary saved in the end of month

Free home n school fees means u can run ur household with basic 2500 maximum. Plus keep 2000 Qrs for extra expences.Ok? Now calculate 40000 Qrs per month saving. Becoz in 1000 Qrs per monthinstallment u can buy a good car like BMW etc.

My friend husband works with a Q company and his salary is 54 K around pm... They save 45000 per month. 6000 hous rent plus tv mobile phone gricery expences.

See all depends how much extra expences u r going to spulge on like clubs hotels shopping foreign trips etc.

This is a good salary and in theory you could save 50% of that per month quite easily and still have a very comfortable life, but it depends on your lifestyle. Qatar is a very expensive country and if you are in the habit of eating out at fancy restaurants every night, travelling regularly, buying brand clothes etc. it might be difficult to save even 10% of your monthly income.

The schooling allowance is a little on the low side. You would have to contribute to this amount if you wanted to send your child to the top name schools like Compass or ASD (American School of Doha), but your child is very young and you can dodge that ball for a few years yet. It is enough to pay for a good nursery if you want to do that. But once you child is older, schooling and activities are not cheap.

Qatar is a great place for raising children. You can have a very good life here and save money.

My experience is that you will be working and
