Radars to be linked directly to control room

The traffic department is planning to link radar cameras directly to its control room so that violations can be recorded and sighted immediately as they occur.

Violators will be informed through the interior ministry's Metrash mobile phone service later.

Currently, traffic department officials download photographs of violations from radars and it takes three to four and sometimes even five days for violations to be known by the traffic department and intimated to violators, Al Sharq reported yesterday.

LOL!... Even if they link to the control room, if the person who violated the rules has a friend inside the Department, the violation will be removed. hahahaha, Of Course Only Expats will be alowed to pay the fine hahhaa. that's useless in my opinion.

It's awkward, too. But is saves cost for the tax payers. Other than that there is no good reason for it. One day the violators of laws will be sent to the Moon. Can't wait for that.

Traffic Laws are being ignored by rich people, they can able to pay their violations anytime. That's their mindset. And what's wrong for giving a reward? What is the difference of that when a convicted criminal with a jail term of 50 yrs. as punishment, but then he's been able to do good inside and follows every rules. so his term were reduce to 10 years as a reward.

brit, that's the mindset around here. The laws are to be ignored. If somebody cares to follow them, he should be rewarded. It's weird, but true. In fact, the violators of the traffic laws are all criminals!

World is moving towards automation with minimal human intervention and they are heading towards more manual intervention. It means someone MUST be keeping an eye in control room to instantly apply violations, strange .......

it must be implemented ASAP..... Yes... rewarding a discipline driver will worth it.... so none of LCs will be rewarded.... :P

implement it a.s.a.p., and monitor also the number of violation per month of every vehicle. put a maximum violations, like 3-overspeeding per month. once it reach the limit. hunt the driver and revoke his/her license.
