Kahramaa Disconnection

Hi

I'm leaving Doha on 29 April and need to arrange my disconnection before I can leave the Country:

1. How long does this process generally take from submitting the application? I understand I have to complete a form and take it to the KM Office where they will then give me a phone number to call an Engineer to make appointment for final meter readings and disconnection. I then go back and settle my final bill and obtain a certificate.

Can all this be done on the same day? For example, I have a late afternoon flight so could I do it all in the morning or is it recommended to do it the day before.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

Just take the Photo of your Meter Reading & go there show them the Photo and they will do the cancellation same time.

wake up early , try to be the first customer in any cases not only to reach your flight, that will help you to solve a lot of problems , specially here in Qatar with the daily traffic jump .

same thing i did in 2012, its simple go to customer service D ring road and request for deletion , they will give one person who will go with you at your home to disconnect water / Electric and they will isuue you a cheque from QNB bank for balance payment, but you need to expedite in early morning to complete by 2pm if you have a same day flight, if you do this 2 days ago then u need to live without light & water. Or depends how you can convince the technician.

To be safe you should give at least max 1-2 days.

most of the time their technicians have a lot of schedules

Otherwise you can try on the same day but you have to be early to their office so you will be the first customer to be served.

Dont take chances i Suggest go and discuss it with KM office, i know they are very quick in service the moment you go and fill in the application some technician will be there at door for disconnecting the power.
