Car accident at Doha - Help
I am abdul Haseeb, On 20th March 2015... 1.18 am I was driving between Crazy signal and najma signal onwards to wakrah side... suddenly one car Hit hardly on my right back corner and squid then entered to parallel road by jumping... through foot path. I was shocked as never expected such a big accident.. I just get down to check my car... before I reach back side of my car the other car was madly driven through parallel road... He escaped very fastly...
Unfortunately i was not able to read his car plate. Number. when I called 999 (police help line No.) they told me to come to the Old airport traffic police station. Police men asked me the other cars Number. They were helpless unless I provide the other cars Number. Any way they registered accident and suggested me to come after one week. and I explained the police officer exact location and time of the accident point in MAP... ( there was CCTV camera near to the accident point and the previous signal) that time one 3 or 4 car only there in the road.
I assumed they may check camera with in this one week time to catch the other person who madly escaped after accident.
When I go to the Police station their reply was..... " we waited for one week, still the other party did not report the accident".
And told me that "if you bring other car Number only we can help you"
but when I asked to check CCTV camera... they replied they will check only for very big accidents or when people die...
My car has only third party insurance... I have to pay for the maintenance... I dont care it to spend money for car maintenance...
But I really want to bring that man to the police station...
I have been working in qatar for past 9 years and It is very comfortable in qatar to live as everybody following qatar rules..... when this kind of rare incident happen people feel unsafety...
Any body can help me to get the other car number (through CCTV camera)
I am really fed up.... If anybody can help me... pls contct me....

Police will track it, when you did not note the number plate did you atleast see the vehicle whether it was a 4x4 or a saloon? Since you are here for 9 years did you identify the brand of the vehicle and the color? Driver was a localor expatriate? Just with these info. they can easily trace a vehicle. But make sure you give the exact detail and not guessing, as not much vehicles will be there with an identical data.
You may have seen the make and color of the vehicle. I believe you have informed the police of this. The police will be on the lookout and may be able to catch the person when he approaches them for the permission to repair his vehicle. Be a bit patient, and pray for the best.
If the Police can't help with CCTV , how will a third party.
It seems that the police are too lazy to do the hard work
