Good morning guys! when I was waiting in the intersection while RED, some body hit my back. every one knows that I don't wrong in single point of view. I like to share what happened to me.. My car is Range Rover sports Autobiography (2010); I went to the police after insurance, Insurance says that they cant fix my car in the company even while I am completely maintain my car in the company :( Then they given choices of Garages, Garage was saying that they cant fix it on time because lack of used bumper, sensors, Spoilers, silencers, and body kits. and they asked me to park the car till they found used items( they need one month). if I needed fix with new items, I wanna to pay 50% of cover (because my car passed 3years from the product date.) Just imaging how much I have to pay for nothing: 1. I need new Items 12,000QR is a 50% 2. I need a car to drive while its in garage, so renting car 2500QR 3. vehicle value goes down I AM REALLY WONDER! WHAT I WILL DO ? ? ? pls advice me

Actually you are getting 50% from the other person insurance, am I correct.? In my opinion you got a good deal.

When the vehicle is old, the depreciation will be there for all parts. Eg. Let us assume that you want to sell your car, what percentage you would get?

Nothing much you can do this is the way the vehicle insurance works here. That's why locals and most expats go for Japanese cars, due to the wide availability of 2nd hand parts. Also, if you drive around, you will also see lot of the locals buy new cars, because if there are major accidents (even not your fault), you are most likely guaranteed that insurance will cover most of it. In Qatar, if you are driving older European or American cars, you will always lose out, if accident happens. I suggest you tell your insurance that you will pay the QAR 12K (50%) and have it repaired at the Range Rover dealer and sell the car. With whatever money you have got from selling the car, buy a new Japanese car (If you plan to stay in Qatar for long term).
