Banks will reopen on Oct 12 after Eid break

Qatar Central Bank has issued a circular that confirms the Eid Al Adha holidays for banks and other financial institutions from October 5-9.
Banks and other financial institutions will be closed for nine days in view of the weekend holidays. They will resume on October 12 after Eid al-Adha holidays, reports Gulf Times.
However, certain banks are keeping some of their branches open during Eid al-Adha to avoid customer inconvenience. QIB will have a branch open at Dar Al Salam mall while Doha Bank has a couple of branches open.
Qatar Stock Exchange would remain closed for five working days from October 5 to 9 based on the QCB circular and instructions from Qatar Financial Markets Authority.
Money exchange houses may open starting Tuesday or Wednesday after Eid al-Adha holidays, although there has been no official statements on that.
Eid al-Adha holidays for ministries, other government offices and the general authorities and institutions start from October 5 and ends on October 9, the Emiri Diwan said yesterday. They will reopen on October 12 after the weekend.
