Five sweika dealers busted by Qatar CID
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ministry of Interior arrested five Asians involved in the production, packing and sale of harmful ‘sweika’, according to a post on MOI's Facebook page.
The arrest came in the wake of the department receiving information about the production and packing of ‘sweika’ at one of the houses in Doha.
As many as 6,219 packs of sweika were also seized (as seen in picture below)
The suspects were followed and monitored to ensure that the information was reliable. The house was eventually raided and suspects were arrested.
The arrested were referred to the Search and Follow up Department for further legal procedures.
The CID has urged citizens and residents to co-operate with the security agencies of Ministry of Interior by reporting any individual suspected of producing and dealing with sweika or any illegal substances as it threatens human health.
