
More hot and humid days to come

The weather is expected to continue to be hot and humid over the next five days at least, forecasters said yesterday.
Asked when one could expect change in weather conditions, a forecaster said he could talk only of the next five days and not longer.
“Based on the forecast we have for the next five days all that can be said is the weather would remain unchanged,” said the forecaster.
Humidity levels would likely range between 30 and 70 percent, while day temperatures would be between 36 and 42 degrees Celsius.
As for today, the humidity level is expected to range between 50 and 80 percent during the day.
The forecast for today has put the maximum temperature at between 36 and 42 degrees and the minimum between 32 and 34.
In Doha, day temperature is likely to soar to 40 degrees and the night temperature is forecast at 33 degrees.
Al Ruwais would be the coolest place today with the day and night mercury levels being 32 and 36 degrees, respectively.
Abu Samra is expected to witness day temperatures of up to 42 degrees, while at night the mercury level would fall to 34.
The forecast has issued no warning for today but said the weather would be hazy and partly cloudy with chances of rains with thunder in the west. Offshore, there are chances of rains in the southeast, according to the forecast.
The wind direction will be southeasterly to northwesterly with speed from five to 15 knots.
Offshore, it will be northeasterly to southeasterly with speed up to 18 knots at times. At night the speed is likely to slow down to 10 knots.
