Searching for a good dermatologist
Hi all,
Can anyone please advise a good skin doctor in Doha?
I found a number of clinics here but there were too many discrepant feedbacks on them. From my perspective Al Ahli Hospital seems to be a good one, does it?
Thank you in advance!
EDIT: You can find a list of dermatologists and doctors on our business pages - click here to view the listings.
I recently found all dermatology and skin specialists in Qatar on https://raweshni.com/

Myra, First time consultation fee is QR 500/- (if you have no insurance) followed by QR 300/- per follow up visit.
Eastern, don't give false information to the people if you don't know about.
Dr hassan charge 1000 riyals for consultation and the other doctors in his clinic are all average doctors
any idea for the price range in hassan medical?
I am going to post it here again. Doha clinic dermatologist is good (except one old Egyptian male doctor who didn't properly remove wart on my hand, that I had to go back there again after few days to do it with a diff doctor)
But my main suggestion is try to AVOID dr jameel syed at aster hospital on c ring, very unfriendly and arrogant doctor. I highly don't recommend him. You can get the same consultation from any other dermatologist in Doha.
You could start by reporting her to the medical commission
dermatologyst Manal Ragb work with two clients on the same time

As I understand so far Dr Hassan seems to be a really good professional doc.
ASR underestimating governments clinic, no one can, but only if its emergency then better to go for the private as there will be a long waiting queue in government hospitals.
My Mom got a Extreme level of Skin Allergic (Similar to Measles but not Measles) and i took her the health Center on 25th July. They injected anti allergic and gave some medicine. It was around 7 in the evening we came back home bu around 10:30 night, her allergic was increasing follow by swelling and extreme level of itching. i took her again and the health center suggested to go to Emergency. In Emergency they kept for some time, (did Blood test and Xrays and with grace of God everything was fine) not knowing the name of diseases, putting drips to decrease the itching only. They discharged her 7 am in the morning stating that take some medicines (anti allergic) and she will be ok. We reached home and she slept for a while. When she woke up her face and body was reddish covering the body color. We waited for almost 2 days that might be the medicine that the hospital provided will take time to get over the allergic but nothing happened and again i took her to the emergency. again the same procedure, kept for 2 days and discharged saying the same thing and including that we don't have any dermatology specialist in emergency and they refer us to Rumailah Hospital. As tomorrow was eid and as inquired, they said that the Rumailah will be closed for the government holidays. All this Eid she stuck in a room with allergic. As it was again on the extreme level, i start searching over the internet for any other clinic that we can go to at least get some relief from itching, swelling and reddish but all in vain.
When i came across to this clinic website http://www.drhassanmedical.com/ , i tried to call them but as it was Eid's 3rd Day, it was closed. It reopened on Saturday and i took my mom there. The doctor there Dr Hassan, he checked my mom allergic, told us the name of the diseases (which no one told us for the past 10 days as no one was dermatology specialist) and gave 2 injection and some tablets.
from that day and another 3 days, the allergic was completely gone, no more itching and no more Swelling.
You are right ASR that private clinics are expensive but by reading above what you suggest?
I will only suggest private clinics if you are in really need of it or if some situation occurred like stated above.
.......... There is a specialized / JCI Accredited / Countries biggest hospital is there in Doha ........... It's called HMC Rumailah Hospital....... Nothing can be compared with that in terms of Quality / Efficacy / Cost effectiveness........... If you want best available treatment for your chronic problem ......please visit your health center ,get a refferal ,wait for your appointment............Or you can try a scratch and win offer in private sector ...... Minimum expense will be below 1000 QAR including medications .......for an example an anti dandruff shampoo will cost you 150 QAR in private clinics ........... If you have a valid health card ..........You can save Time / Money.... Please keep this it mind that if anything or everything went wrong you may needs to go HMC only ............No other options .......... Depends upon the disease condition / Person / Attitude ...........the choice is your's ...and if it's not an emergency you can try other kind of medical treatments from your favorite doctor in your home country too .......... ....... i have a simple request only .........please don't underestimate the government health services here .........Get well soon......
For the Skin Hospital, i personally recommend http://www.drhassanmedical.com/
Take the appointment of Dr Hassan. I have experience as he is the best doctor in Qatar so far.
