Stagnant water in Old Airport raise health concerns

Residents of the Omar bin Khalaf Street in the Old Airport area have raised concerns over the accumulation of water on a vacant plot in the area.

They point out that the stagnant water, which is dirty,  poses a serious health hazard. According to the residents, a company had pumped groundwater out of a work site and discharged it into the vacant plot.

They now fear for the health and safety of people living in the vicinity, including children who may go to play on the plot and get exposed to the filthy water, according to the report.

The residents have called upon the authorities concerned to promptly drain out the water and clean the yard.

"According to the residents" ....... which residents? The newspaper spoke to them so why didn't they ask their name. If they won't say who they are it's hard to believe they are telling the truth.
