Looking advice on Al Wakrah as a place to live

I will be commutiung to HMC in Qatar and have three children aged 4-7 with school places in Al Wakrah so we are considering living in Al Wakrah so its easy for my wife to do pick ups. However two real queries

1 What is Al Wakra like to live in for a young family

2. How long would the commute be to HMC in Doha and is it worth considering getting the bus?
