Israel is practising terrorism, said Qatar's Foreign Minister

Qatar reiterated yesterday that the demands of the Palestinians for an end to Israeli aggression were just. Qatar’s Foreign Minister HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah said that the country’s stand vis-à-vis a ceasefire in Gaza consists of ending the attack on Gaza Strip and lifting the siege.

Al Attiyah told Al Jazeera TV channel in an interview that the goals of Paris Conference on Gaza was to brief the representatives of the EU on the outcome of negotiations and how all the parties involved could reach a ceasefire.

The Foreign Minister dismissed reports that the conference was to extend the ceasefire, stressing that the main goal was to lift the siege on Gaza.

On Israel’s allegations that Qatar finances terrorism, he said that Israeli Ministers of Finance and Foreign Affairs are exercising terrorism themselves and not just supporting it. As a result, the Foreign Minister said, they had no right to talk about supporting terrorism.

Al Attiyah also denied that Qatar and Turkey were pressuring Hamas in any way, saying that their role is only to convey the demands of Palestinians in a transparent and honest way. Many members of the international community feel for the struggle of Hamas, but due to many considerations cannot make those feelings public.

He highlighted Israel’s continued disrespect for most of agreements signed between the two parties, giving an example with the ceasefire agreement in 2012. The agreement was to establish a ceasefire in return for releasing Palestinians languishing in Israeli prisons which did not happen.

HE the Foreign Minister also warned that Israel can no longer enter the West Bank and Gaza and attack them as in the past, adding that now Israel could pay for its action through the international community and the UN Security Council.

i really wish i could participate in these political discussions; but my thoughts are just too muddled to make up my mind about what is true and what is not; i simply do not understand the complex webs of lies and deceit and personal agendas spun by nations...i'm the kind of person who after reading one report believes 9/11 was an inside job and then 10 minutes later, after reading another, dismiss the first one as nonsense haha....i'd just make a fool of myself lol...what i do believe however, is that no nation acts without being assured of the furtherance of its own self interests and agendas, whatever those might be :-)

If Karma works will it not come round for Qatar too?

Yes Catherine..Karma will surely work...US thinks it is legitimate to put sanctions on any country (except his allies) if they even do 1% of what these Zionists are doing in Gaza.

Gaza is completely locked from all sides... there is no place to escape or hide... hospitals refugee camps schools have been bombarded... in this situation when the whole world, UN pushing hard for a ceasefire if US is supplying 40mm grenades and 120mm mortar rounds...what does it mean? No regret at all? support in the massacre?

Just read this article http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2014/07/chutzpah-war-2014728144333159903.html and then make your mind about who is the real terrorist and who is standing by their side and who is considering a VETO in UN investigation about Israel's war crimes.

Supporting a murderer is also a crime in almost all the rules of lands...

LLR, the US is an equal opportunity arms seller - http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/07/14/us-usa-qatar-idUSKBN0FJ2M820140714 - they don't just supply Israel. So will Karma work in this situation?

Yes. Israel is carrying out so many 9/11 in Gaza and the uncle sam is happily supplying more destruction materials to the apartheid illegal occupiers and asking for ceasefire as well.. hypocracy...

if americans do believe in Karma...then they have to be ready as KARMA bring justice to everyone in her own way..which does not exclude natural disasters , climate change, recession, drought , forest fires etc...

Israel is not alone (which does not mitigate or excuse them in any way) in behaving like terrorists. What has happened and continues to happen in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Nigeria and many many other countries is also a disgrace and a crime.

Establishment of "Islamic Defense Research University" may help the weak countries to come out with stronger defense systems that could bring safety to the weaker countries against such aggression. What Isreal is doing, would result in big disaster for them in future, there is no doubt about it. Isreal would never had dared to launch such an attack, if Morsi was in power.

Israel is a coward. She can only pound the Palestine with missiles and bombs from a distance. They cannot win ground battle. I salute Qatar's stand on the issue.

Its an honor for me to work for a country who can dare to speak for the truth in this blind world. God bless Qatar and Al-Jazeerah TV and give them courage to keep standing.
