Hello all Qatar Living friends,

One of my friend is getting an opportunity in Qatar which pays around 12k paid for accommodation, utilities, return annual flights and family medical insurance, comapny car and 30 days vacation per year. We are a family of 3 (2 adults, 3 yr old baby) and are wondering if this is a good offer?/.

I am trying to understand if this is worth as i have no idea about the cost in Qatar for flat and all other living expences for family. I  too understand everything depends on lifestyle and mine is an average family.

Please help me to get idea about the flat/house/appartment average rate for 1 bedroom and water elatricty, internet cost.

Appreciate your input and suggestion which will help me

Many Thanks

Anil

Hi all, Does anyone here have any idea what's involved and how many days it take for Qatar Foundation reference check process after offer acceptance? I am in the process of accepting of an offer from QF. I was hoping i could prepare some docs/info in advance to help speed up the process.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1- salary is good if u have small baby.

2- In Qatar if u dont buy a car and dont have intentions to roam in malls u can really save ur half salary.

3- Your food habits will save u money actually.

"One of my friend is".... then you start talking about yourself....

I just noticed all who are posting here and asking something are about their friends when in fact it's all about them....ho-hum.....

Depends how your life style is. Normally a decent single bedroom house these days will cost around 3000 - 3500 QAR and a double bedroom from 4000 - 6000 QAR, depending on area and other features (furnished, unfurnished, semi furnished). As far as the food is concerned, if you cook at home, it wont cost more than 1500 (max).

Medical is covered through medical card provided by government. Rest You can make a decision. But still 12k sometimes feel a bit on the lower side, as the rents are getting higher and higher everyday.

with 12K all-in for family, it might be difficult. If you are single, then this should be more than sufficient.
