Four more airlines will move their operations to Hamad International Airport (HIA) starting this Thursday.

Lufthansa, Air France- KLM, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Oman Air have announced that their operations will begin at HIA on May 22, along with 15 other airlines.

Abdulaziz al-Mass, senior manager (Public Relations and Communications) DIA/HIA, said: “HIA airline operations are gaining momentum with four additional airlines moving from DIA this week.

HIA will now service 19 airlines offering passengers a seamless travel experience through the world-class gateway we have created for our departing, arriving or transferring guests.

This is an extremely exciting period for us and our key goal during the transition from DIA to HIA is to ensure all our travellers are informed and their travel plans are undisrupted.”

This latest announcement is part of the ongoing phased opening of HIA following the soft inauguration on April 30. The  full opening is scheduled on May 27.

National carrier, Qatar Airways, will also move its operations soon to HIA on May 27.

Nineteen airlines will now operate from HIA and passengers looking for further information on transport, flights and airline operations should check with their respective airline, visit their website.

You can also alternatively check updates via DIA social media channels including; Twitter (@dohaairport), Facebook (Doha International Airport) and Instagram (dohaairport).
