Visa Sponsorship by the Mother

I would like to ask anybody who could advice me with regards to my situation. I am currently working in one of the government agency here in Qatar. My son is with me, with Family Visit Visa status. I want to change it to Residence Visa under me. Under my Contract, i am allowed to sponsor my immediate family (Kids and husband).

Currently, my husband is in other country and we don't have communications already. I applied for my son's residence visa but was required for Father's NOC. I can't provide it, since we are not in good terms anymore and he is not cooperating regarding this matter.

Please, if anyone knowledgeable regarding this matter, i need help.

Thank you.

@FDC, I am working in baladiya. Actually, the Captain already agreed to sponsor my son when i discussed the situation. But this certain 1 lady in the counter disregarded the approval of the Captain. She even erased the signature of the Captain. My earning is above minimum, which is suffice to sponsor. That's why it is so disheartening why this lady does not understand.

Currently, only female government employees and those working in “semi-government” groups like Qatar Airways, Al Jazeera and Qatar Foundation who make a minimum of QR10,000 monthly can sponsor their husbands and children.

This is really a bad situation.

Kindly endeavor to make peace with his father.

Meanwhile, I have discussed the issue with a friend who is knowledgeable in this. When he gives me his reply,i will write you or send you a mail.

Yes it is very true, It is very unfair to the child to experience this thing. Why the child would suffer from the wrongdoings of his parents. Explain to your husband.

Sorry to tell you, but only the father is allowed to sponsor your son for residence visa and he has to work here in Qatar. Under the working mother's sponsorship, you can only apply the visit visa for your son (6 months Max). If immigration already told you to seek the NOC from the father, I think this is the only way you can get the RP for your son. Try to reason with him, it is unfair to the child to go through this.
