Short-term car parks are located on either side of the passenger terminal. They offer free covered and easy access via dedicated walkways. Charges are as follows:

•First 30 minutes free

•One hour 5 riyals

•Two hours 10 riyals

•Each additional hour or any part thereof will be 5 riyals each

•A lost ticket will cost 35 riyals

The east short-term car park (map) is more convenient for passengers flying with Qatar Airways, while the west short-term car park (map) is better suited for passengers travelling with all other airlines.

if i don't bring much luggage, i can actually walk to the bus stop where buses 109 and 747 pass by from my house. the thing is, i think they leave only at hourly intervals for now like all 3-digit bus route numbers. i hope they increase the frequency once the airport opens and there is a demand. published travel time from al ghanim bus station for 109 is 27 minutes and the 747 is 23 minutes, but it's probably more.
