QLVG in World Donor Day with HMC !
First of all Thanks You to all those who supported QL Volunteer Group 'World Blood Donor Day' today in Villaggio.
When I reached HMC Blood Bank, There were already so many people waiting in a que for their turn, and I was surprised to see that most of them were Arab (if am not wrong out of those Arabs most them were Qataris), which shows that Qataris/Arabs do give blood on regular basis.
There were some Expats also incl myself ;-p
Also i noticed that they were returning few people since they were not fit to donate blood due to underweight, less hemoglobins, may be there were on medicines or due to some unknown disease etc...
The lady who looks like a 'SUPERNURSE' was the one who was testing everyone's blood group/ weight/ temperature/ Blood Pressure etc ....
Anyhow, for me it was a great experience and I feel very relaxed. After donating blood I went shopping with my family and just returned home happily !
They gifted all blood donors with :
1) Certificate of World Donor Day and HMC names/Logos
2) T-shirt and a Cap of WDD and HMC
3) Juices and snacks
