AL GHARAFA continued their relentless march towards the Qatar League title with another emphatic victory yesterday.
Playing attacking football, they outclassed Al Sailiya 3-0 with Younis Mahmood scoring a splendid hat-trick.
Younis scored twice early in the first half and then booted home another goal in the 88th minute as Gharafa increased their lead at the top of the table.
They are now on 37 points from 13 matches with the second placed Al Sadd way behind on 25 from 12 matches.
Meanwhile, Qatar Sports Club jumped to third position when they defeated Al Arabi 2-0 yesterday.
Iranian ace Ali Karimi struck the first goal for Qatar Sports Club in the 29th minute and Omani international Imad al-Hosni netted the second in the 45th.
Qatar Sports Club now have 18 points from 13 matches.
Today, Umm Salal play Al Wakrah while Al Rayyan clash with Al Sadd
