Hi all,

Leaving Qatar for good on Friday. Do I need to cancel my bank account? I have no debts and no money in the account now. If I just leave then I presume it's no big deal.

I wouldn't mind if you could drive anywhere in Doha without it being a complete hassle.

better close and go, no one can guarantee for the future banking rules by Qatar central bank, may be after some months / years they may implement a penalty for non active accounts, if they do so the fine amount will accumulate to your account, and once you come back it will be a head ache for you. this is what happened at UAE a long time back. All The Best !
