need legal advise regarding rental problem

Good evening to all.

I just need legal advise. I rented a 3 bedroom flat for 3 years. The flat is semi furnished with old aircon and was not newly painted when I rented it. At first the administrator of the building informed us that the maintenance will be covered by them including the aircon. But for 3 years nobody came to do the maintenance of the flat despite repeated calls. The aircon was not working and I was being charged for 600 qr each to repait it. I called the building administrator and he told me to throw the aircon since the owner does not want to maintain it. Now after 3 years I terminated the contract legally. I also paid and closed my account with kharama and ooredoo. The owner does not want to return my check and filed a case against me. He wants me to:

1. Paint the whole flat.

2. Replace the old and not working aircon with a new one.

My question is that is it legal to claim this things. After 3 years they even did not send any maintenance to our flat. They gave us old aircon and now they want a new one. Please give me advise on this.
