Work visa rejection... what next??

Hello mates:

I signed a job contract with one of the largest semi-govt company in Qatar in Oct, 2013. I sent all documents to HR for the work visa. initially they said it’d take 3 weeks to get eth visa. but it’s over 3 months and HR recently got back with an explanation that my visa is not granted by the ministry. Ministry mentioned that this job can be done by a “Qatari national”. the HR says they are trying to provide explanations but till now no luck.

I just need some advice… whether do I really have any hope to get the visa? is this a normal process or an unique one? Also any advice what could be done now to get the visa? My company’s HR keeps telling me that they are very keen to have me and still trying.....

Let them try a couple times. Often, persistence will pay off.

You could keep waiting, but I would suggest you also get ready to exit Qatar, they can come back to you any time and inform you that you have to leave. I hope they can allocate another position for you, in order for you to obtain the work visa, good luck!

let them apply for a different type or title or designation for your visa,

some people are applying for a kitchen chef and they work in accounting or sales ....

try your chance...

all the best..
