Receiving a Gold ring via USPS to Doha
Hi All,
I have just recently bought a Gold ring gift for my Dad from Ebay and item is being shipped from the US via USPS Express Mail Int... N just now, while browsing USPS tracking, I came upon the Rules of Shipping to Qatar and Jewels/Precious stone is part of prohibited item. Has anyone ever received jewel by post? Or anyone with experience can assist me understanding what to do? Thank you.
@Dilgeer USPS takes at max 21 days to arrive, all rest of the time is taken by Customs here in Qatar.
@VLM EC numbers are mostly used for Express Courier and they take around 5 business days but since its busy times (Holiday Season) so expect a bit more but than you never know how long customs would take.

USPS need 1-5months
That is the same advice the Seller gave me. Keeping fingers crossed and will contact Customs tomorrow.
As far as I know the raw jewel is banned like Gold Bars or Diamond Stone, but in jewelry it is fine, that is as far as I know, you can confirm from Customs Office or GPO.
