6 months vacation

just want to ask... if its true that an employee who took vacation outside doha for more than 6 months can still come back to doha as long as his working visa is valid but will pay 500 riyals penalty?

please advise.

and wy not,.i know i lot of big company's that go uptill a year for a sabatical or more,.and have friends who used this for going on a once a livetime world trip, etc.

You cannot pay the penalty of 500 Riyals while coming back after six months. If you are on a work visa you should arrange the extension through your Sponsor by paying the penalty of Qr. 500. If your Sponsor disagrees then you are in trouble.

No employer in his right mind would give 6 months continuous vacation to an employee.

ok.. coz what i heard before, if u come back from vacation (outside doha) after six months, your working visa is not valid anymore.. but i heard that now, they implemented the law that you can still come back after 6 months but you will pay 500 penalty

yes you can come back after more than 6 months also, as long as you have a valid visa and have to pay QR 500 penalty.
